The WAI Pioneer Hall of Fame was established in 1992 to honor women who have made significant contributions as record-setters, pioneers, or innovators in aviation and aerospace. Special consideration is given to individuals or groups who have helped other women be successful in aviation or who have opened doors of opportunity for other women. WAI solicits nominations from members of women throughout the aviation industry for induction to the WAI Pioneer Hall of Fame.
Congratulations to the 2024 inductees: Katherine Johnson, U.S. Air Force First Undergraduate Navigator Class 78-01, and U.S. Army Air Forces World War II Flight Nurses! Official press release here.
The nomination process for the 2025 class is now closed.
