WAI stands with our sisters and brothers of color.
Women in Aviation International shares the broken-heart of a deeply troubled nation and world. Together, we face the continued challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic multiplied by the most recent (but not isolated and not new) tragic events of injustice and violence which highlight the divisions and injustices specifically facing our sisters and brothers of color.
We wish our members and their families health, safety, and peace – to which we all have the inalienable right, regardless of the color of our skin.
At WAI, we strive to encourage, empower, and educate all those whose interests, lives, and work involve aviation and aerospace without regard to race, ethnicity, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, or physical or mental abilities.
We know with certainty that our shared passion for aviation transcends any differences among us. We also know our words are not enough. We recognize the urgent need for action and change in the world, and in the aviation communities specifically. The WAI Staff, Board of Directors, and Members stand together to carry forth our unwavering mission and to lift one another up with steadfast and absolute support and respect. We are committed to being a meaningful part of the change needed in the world and are dedicated to doing more.
