WAI CEO's Message On COVID-19
These are challenging and uncharted times for our more than 15,000 members around the world. But with our usual WAI camaraderie and desire to connect, engage, and inspire, we are ready to assist you.
- The safety of the WAI staff is my first priority, therefore, the headquarters office in West Alexandria, Ohio, is closed until further notice and all staff members are working remotely. All WAI staff email addresses are available on our website.
- As we plan our spring and summer events, we will adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization guidance as to how WAI participates.
- I know this is a challenging time trying to balance working while many of you have your children at home full time. We have worked with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to accelerate the availability of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for kids to begin using today. Please visit our website for all our career/education resources.
I enjoyed meeting many of you at the 31st Annual International Women in Aviation Conference held March 5-7. Thanks to the support of numerous attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and volunteers we had a very successful conference while actively monitoring COVID-19 updates.
As we continue to closely track developments regarding COVID-19, our future decisions will be made with our employees and our membership as the top priority. I understand these are challenging times, and WAI is here to help you. Please feel free to email any questions and concerns to wai@wai.org.
Best regards,
Allison McKay
CEO
